Valentine's Weekend

Valentine's Day is Jeff's birthday, and since it's so crowded in restaurants, we usually don't celebrate on that day. This year, my cousin Sammie and her husband Ray were able to come visit and celebrate Valentine's Day with us.

Sam had only been to Austin once, for our wedding. And for the wedding, we had people trapped out in the Texas Hill Country, so not much was seen of Austin itself.

They got in late Friday night, so Saturday was our big sightseeing day. We took them to some must see places: Mt. Bonnell (not easy hiking up those stairs with a 16lb baby strapped to you), UT's Campus (where Sam and Ray took pics to make my cousin Cody jealous since he's a huge UT fan and a traitor to his home state, the Buckeye State), South Congress and Guero's. Sunday, we all went to the Round Rock outlets to take advantage of the beautiful weather and the President's Day sales. Then Sam and Ray headed back to Louisiana.

Riley had a great time with her cousins that she'd never met before. Here's a pic of me, Sam and Riley at the UT bookstore, and one of Riley with her new favorite cousin Ray. :)
