Well, that's how the saying goes anyway. Riley Kate has a different theory. She got her first bite at daycare (I say first because let's face it, daycare = Lord of the Flies, so I'm sure there will be more) the other day. By a girl named Grace. Ironic, don't you think?
Granted, RK was squeezing her way into a toy that Grace was currently occupying. Definitely not friendly, but there's room for two in that toy. Either way, biting is not cool.
Apparently a cookie was all it took for RK to get over the attack (she has a bruise, but no broken skin). And later, when Grace was crying, RK tried to comfort her and give her a hug. Um, yeah. She did not learn that behavior from Mommy. Mommy would have probably taken the opportunity to make sure Grace had a reason to cry. RK definitely takes after her Daddy, Mr. Nice Guy.
I'll keep working on her, but I'm guessing it's a losing battle.
