We rented an awesome house on the Blanco River. However, due to the ridiculous drought we've been having, the river behind the house was barely a trickle. Oh well, it was still a pretty view!
We got there Friday night and grilled some steaks, played some pool and had some much deserved drinks. Saturday we got up, waited for another friend to arrive, then Christa, Riley Kate and I headed out to Market Days. I got a super cute dress for RK and a little sign for her room with her name on it. Total spent? $11.50! What a bargain. :) We then had a girl's lunch in Wimberley Square and headed back to the house to have some dinner and relax.
Saturday night we grilled out again, had way too many drinks, played a lot of games and were up until 3:30. (Well, most of us. RK was in bed by 7:15, and Jeff lasted until about 12:30.) Much fun had by all.
Sunday we went to a wine tasting and then went back to the house to await yet another friend's arrival. We got lazy with dinner and had frozen pizzas, while the guys were determined to finish off the beer stash while playing bocce ball and pool and laughing hysterically at saying 'That's what she said' about everything and anything. I guess boys never really grow up. :)
Monday it was time to head home. RK crashed out in the car the whole way home, then took another 2.5 hour nap. I guess all the attention and activity wore her out!
