Chicken S&*t Bingo!

So as part of Kristin's surprise trip, we opted to take her to do something uniquely Austin that she hadn't done in her 3 years here. This shocked us, as she was the ultimate Austin tour guide for her guests.

I'm not sure I've ever blogged about it before, but Chicken S&*t Bingo is a game played on Sunday afternoons at Ginny's Little Longhorn Saloon here in Austin. Total dive of a bar, but the whole idea is that they put a chicken in a cage with a gameboard and whatever number the chicken poo lands on is the winner.

Well, guess what?! Kristin won! Below is a pic of her with her $114 in winnings along with an exclusive interview you'll only find here on katiesrandombabble.

Q: When did you first discover chicken s&*t bingo?
A: I first learned of the phenomenon from Katie Manning as I recall her going for Christa Semko's birthday last year.

Q: Who taught you the intricacies of chicken s&*t bingo?
A: I would have to give Matt Lublinsky credit for offering the most information and answering questions like "Does the s&*t drop straight down or shoot out?" and "What if the chicken pees first?"

Q: Is it your game of choice for gambling?
A: Considering I won more betting $2 on chicken s&*t bingo than I have in probably my last 5 outings playing craps...I'm going to have to go with chicken s&*t bingo. Hmmm...just noticed something, is it odd that I like playing games with bowel movement descriptors in their name???

Q: How did you feel when the chicken s&*t landed on your square?
A: Words cannot describe the joy and exhilaration that I felt...it was great to have my friends nearby high-fiving and cheering! I was beaming when Ginny counted out the cold hard cash.

Q: How are you going to spend your winnings?
A: I'm buying a chicken, some feed, a piece of plywood, a permanent marker and some raffle tickets and will be soliciting bars in Southie to see which one wants to be the first to bring chicken s&*t bingo to Mass...who needs Keno in the bars when we could have this!?!?

Q: Do you plan to go pro?
A: Absolutely...I will be known world-wide as soon as my empire gets started with my $114 investment!
