Friday we headed over to the Boston Children's Museum. Some of it was still too big for the RK, but she had fun anyway. Now that she's getting older, we'll likely become members of the Austin Children's Museum so we can get free admission to the Boston one and we'll also get into the Imagination Station in Toledo. Perfect for grandparent visits!
Here are a couple of pics from the museum:
Playing with the giant chess set; we came back once and it was all over the floor. She picked them all up so it was ready for the next kid!

We got to have a grownup night out on Friday night to celebrate Kristin's birthday. We went to Barlow's, which is also the location of the rehearsal dinner in August. Excellent food and a really great vibe. It's an old warehouse building and was packed the night we were there.
And, because Ben, Kristin's fiancee is so cute, he wanted to surprise her before their birthday outing on Saturday. We had agreed to meet for breakfast at St. Alphonzo's Kitchen, with our backup being Mul's Diner if SAK was too crowded. We got up Saturday morning, managed to Christa out of Kristin's condo without any suspicion on Kristin's part and headed over. Turns out SAK doesn't open until 10am on Saturdays, and we had passed Mul's and it was too crowded. So, being completely unprepared, we didn't have Ben's cell phone, so we called their landline. After completely confusing Kristin, Christa got to talk to Ben and deliver the bad news. Luckily, eagle-eyed Julie spotted My Diner across the street, and we rushed in through the rain and horrible wind (more on that later) and managed to get the only table for 6! Ben and Kristin showed up a few minutes later, and we definitely did surprise her! :)
On to the rain. Friday night (I guess technically Sat morning, but whatevs), a nor'easter settled in. This is just a horrible storm that hits New England in the winters and is usually snow. This one was all rain with 50-60 mph wind gusts. This lasted until Monday night. No. Joke. Monday. NIGHT. Insanity.
Sunday, despite their better judgment, the powers that be kept the South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade on as scheduled. And, naturally, the Mannings kept their party as well! Hogan's Goat made a repeat appearance and Riley had a blast. She got to play the drums (see below) and she became best friends with Jeff's cousin Bobby.
We got delayed in Boston for an extra day thanks to the nor'easter, but we made it back safe and sound (and 3 flights later).
