If You Can't Laugh At Yourself.....Volume 2

Figured I'd at least entertain you with the oddities that are me. We went out househunting again this weekend (ugh) and I woke up not feeling so hot. Chalking it up to allergies and eating too much Tex-Mex the night before, we headed out.

On the agenda were 5 houses. First house, didn't like it, but made it through just fine. Got to the second house (the one we love but the owner isn't willing to negotiate) and I really wasn't feeling well. RK wanted held, and she was pushing on my stomach, etc. So after spending about 10 minutes in that house (it was vacant), we were on the patio talking about potential modifications to the house. Then it hit me. That horrible familiar feeling when you know you're going to projectile vomit. I made a hasty exit back into the house, found the bathroom and puked my guts out for 5 minutes. Lovely.

Feeling better, we moved on to the next set of houses. Made it through #3, then #4. Got to #5, and wasn't feeling so hot again. Almost made it out of there without any drama. Then it hit me again and I went running into the bathroom and threw up again! Sadly though, this house was not vacant (sorry, homeowners; especially since we're not buying your house).

Finally, we made it home and I slept for the whole afternoon and by the time I went to bed, I had eaten a few saltines, some baked Lays and a couple of Thin Mints. Food of champions.

I mean, really, who pukes in potential homes they're visiting? Is it my subconscious telling me not to purchase these homes?

And before anyone says it, NO I'm not pregnant. Jeff got food poisoning from the Tex-Mex place a few weeks ago and we chalked it up to happenstance. Well, now that it's happened twice in a couple of weeks, we will now be finding a new Tex-Mex place to get our takeout from on Friday nights. (It's probably better anyway, considering they knew Jeff's name and his order way too well. How embarrassing.)

Oh, and in case I haven't mentioned it yet, WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!! I'll give you the full story in another post, but we're so relieved to have sold it.
