Saturday we didn't do much, just made the trip and spent some quality time with Grandpa John and Uncle Johnny. Sunday, we went to my Aunt Mary's house for an early Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family. Naturally, I forgot to take any pictures. Oops! Riley had fun reintroducing herself to everyone and playing with Aunt Mary's poodle.
Monday, we met up with Hezzy, Derek and Cora for lunch and stayed in for a quiet night at Dad's house with Grandma Toni and Uncle Johnny. Riley ate probably the equivalent of her body weight in pasta and bread, much to the astonishment of Grandpa. :)
Tuesday was a busy day. We went over to Great Grandma Pat's house and visited a little. Riley wasted no time cuddling up to her, sharing her snacks and wanting her to read her books. Here's a picture of her man-handling poor Grandma.
Tuesday night we went to Toledo to see the Lights Before Christmas at the zoo (next blog post). Wednesday we went to see Great Grandpa Joe who is recovering from a fall and resulting head injury. We left Riley with my dad and brother since she had a cold and we figured we'd better not infect the whole nursing home. Grandpa has a long road ahead of him, but we're hopeful he'll be home before too long.
Thanksgiving we went back to Great Grandma Pat's house and Riley worked the room. Anybody who had cranberry sauce was her best friend. She also learned some new tricks from Cousin Bud:
Friday we had one last visit with Great Grandma Pat and had a get together with my high school crew, all reunited recently via facebook. Below is a pic of all us (minus Trisha; she had to work) and a pic of me, Riley, Hezzy and Cora.
