Easter Weekend

Way overdue post, but here it goes anyway!

Riley's school was closed on Good Friday, so Jeff and I decided to take the day off and do something in Austin.  Most of our vacation days are spent traveling to visit family, so it was a rare occurrence.

We decided to go to the Austin Zoo.  It's more of an animal sanctuary/rescue organization, but it was good for what it was.  When Riley is a little older, it will be an easy way to kill a couple of hours on a weekend since it's open all year long.  We didn't ride the train because the line was really long and figured she wouldn't get anything out of it anyway. She loved watching all the older kids though.

Here's a pic of me and Riley at the zoo.

Easter Sunday we went to a minor league baseball game, the Round Rock Express with Christa, Jason and Jason's parents.  We pulled into the parking lot and realized that Riley had blown out her diaper because of the antibiotics for her ear infection.  Because the kid hasn't blown out a diaper in months, I didn't have a change of clothes.  So off we went to Wal-Mart (the bane of my existence on a normal day, much less on Easter Sunday when it was the only store open near there) to get her some new pants.  Once we fixed that situation, off we went to the game. Here's RK all suited up in her gear to watch the game.  Luckily the shade came not too long after we got there, which made for a much more enjoyable experience!

And finally, here's Riley Kate with her new Easter basket and goodies she got from the Easter Bunny (and looking freakishly like her Daddy).
