St. Patrick's Day 2009

After missing last year due to my pregnancy and trying to conserve vacation time, we headed up to Boston for the annual St. Patty's Day party at Jack and Julie's.

We got in Friday night, and Riley was a champ as usual.  Since we'd had a long day, we just hung out at the house, and friends came to us for dinner.  Being old fogeys, Jeff and I were in bed by 10 or someth
ing that night.

Saturday I got to have some girl time with Christa and Kristin; we got manicures and pedicures and had lunch at Cranberry Cafe, which was excellent.  That night we went out for Kristin's birthday to Pho Republique and then had drinks at Rocca.  Jack and Julie babysat Riley for us so we could enjoy an evening out, which was greatly appreciated.

Sunday was the big day, the party at Jack and Julie's. Hogan's Goat made their annual appearance and Riley got to meet all kinds of family and friends she'd never met before.  It was a long day, but she was tough and stayed up through most of it.  Check out the flickr site for hilarious video of her napping through fire trucks and police sirens.   She takes after her daddy. :)

Monday, Kristin had to work, so we took Christa for a short trip down to Norwell, where Jeff grew up.  Then, we headed back into town and met Kristin at the aquarium.  I was surprised, but Riley actually paid attention and got to touch her first starfish.   She also came home with a little stuffed turtle named Shelly.

Here's a pic of the cutest little leprechaun ever.  Well, two.  The second one Kristin is convinced could win a photo contest.  Ha!
