First Trip!

We headed to Boston this past weekend for our friends Joe and Jessie's wedding. So Riley got to take her first flight and was a champ! I carried her through the airport in her Baby Bjorn, and she slept most of the time on the plane in the sling. We were so proud of her!

It was also the first time we left her overnight. She stayed with Nana Julie and Grandpa Jack and got to visit with lots of people, including Uncle Frank and Aunt Barbara, Kristin and Linda, Sue and Matt, and Sally. She even met Dan and Emily for a brief minute when they came to pick up Jeff on Thursday night.

When I left her on Friday, I kissed her and left...no tears (from me or her; I didn't expect them from her though). I was worried that perhaps I was dead inside, but once I started missing her by Saturday afternoon, I knew that wasn't the case, I just needed a break.

The wedding was west of Boston, in Amherst at the Amherst Women's Club. We stayed in Northampton at the Hotel Northampton, which is a historical hotel and very cute. We got to catch up with a lot of friends and Joe and Jessie put on a good wedding, and we had a blast.
