2 month doctor appointment

Miss Riley Kate had her 2 month checkup yesterday. Unfortunately, that meant shots. :( She was a champ though, and cried when they were happening, but once the needles were gone, she was as happy as ever! We did have to give her some baby Tylenol because she was a little cranky since her legs hurt, but she slept most of the day and today was back to normal.

I will say that our pediatrician uses the tactic of scaring the living shit out of you about the diseases you're vaccinating against. No doubt in our minds after listening to her that Riley needed all of those shots. I almost wanted her to give them to me again just to be safe! :) We love our pediatrician, and Jeff even recruited a coworker to take her kids there. One thing we were surprised about is that she ends all office visits with hugs to the new parents. Kind of freaked us out at first, but we're used to it now. Ha!

Now for the stats: she weighed in a 9lbs, 11oz, so she's up 3 full pounds since she was born and at the 25th percentile. 22 inches long, up from 18.5 inches, also at the 25th percentile. Her head, however, remains at the 50th percentile, so she's still top heavy. :)
